Glendale Civic Pride Ambassadors
In 1994, Mayor Scruggs introduced the idea of a volunteer citizen group who could help promote all of the positive aspects of the City of Glendale. Her idea immediately resonated with Glendale residents, 75 of which showed up at a meeting to brainstorm. Glendale Civic Pride Ambassadors is now 17-years strong and a valued asset in our city.
Active in all community events, recognizable in their red “Pridewear”, and unfailingly helpful and enthusiastic, the Glendale Civic Pride Ambassadors reflect their deep sense of pride dedicated to enhancing the economic, social and cultural vitality of Glendale.
The Civic Pride Ambassadors are also extraordinary fund raisers who have awarded more than $265,000 to other non-profit organizations that have a special event or program that will attract people to Glendale or will enhance the lives of Glendale citizens.
The Glendale Civic Ambassadors are always looking for energetic new members that share their enthusiasm and pride for Glendale. Find out more about the Glendale Civic Pride Ambassadors at www.glendalecivicpride.org.
