623 Day to feature special promotions, artistic showcases, and opportunities to support local businesses

Downtown Glendale will serve as the backdrop for the second annual 623 Day, a week-long celebration of local pride, small business support, arts, culture, and community connection. Beginning Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the event recognizes the West Valley's 623 area code while highlighting the people, businesses, and organizations that contribute to Glendale's identity and growth.

This year's celebration coincides with the opening of Glendale City Hall in downtown Glendale, marking an important milestone for the city and further strengthening the district as a center for civic and community activity.

Throughout the week, residents and visitors are invited to explore Downtown Glendale through exclusive specials, local art, community activities, and shopping experiences.

Participating restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and specialty shops throughout Downtown Glendale will offer promotions, including $6.23 menu items, limited-edition merchandise, and exclusive discounts.

“Last year was the inaugural 623 Day and it was great even despite of all the city hall construction. Now that the construction is over and city hall is full of employees once again, I’m excited to see how 623 Day will be bigger and better than last year. The employees are excited to be back and contribute to the small businesses again,” Glendale Councilmember Leandro Baldenegro said.

Visitors can enjoy:

  • Special $6.23 food and beverage offerings at participating restaurants
  • Exclusive 623 Day merchandise and locally made products
  • Self-guided art crawls featuring murals and public art installations
  • Flash events and surprise promotions announced throughout the week

A highlight of this year's celebration is the 623 Day Receipt Collection Program. Community members are encouraged to save their receipts from purchases made at participating Downtown Glendale businesses between June 23 and June 29. Shoppers can turn in qualifying receipts at designated collection locations to receive a complimentary limited-edition 623-themed tote bag while supplies last.

The program provides a fun and rewarding way to support local businesses while taking home a keepsake that celebrates community pride.

Free parking is available in the covered parking garage near 58th Avenue and Glendale Avenue, as well as designated street parking throughout downtown. Visitors are encouraged to review the official event map, identify participating businesses, and return throughout the week to take advantage of additional promotions and activities.
