Water is a precious resource in our beautiful desert environment. It is important to not waste it. Sometimes irrigation valves stick open resulting in over watering or people forget to turn off manual irrigation systems. When water waste is observed running into the street, please considercreating a service request in GlendaleOne with 'Report Water Waste' as the 'Type of Issue'. Submit a service request in GlendaleOne.

You can also call the Water Conservation Office at (623) 930-3535. When calling, please report the address of the problem site and the time of day the problem occurred. If it is an ongoing problem, please indicate this and the frequency of the problem. Water matters! Thank you for helping us conserve water.

The City of Glendale offers rebates to help residents and businesses save water and money. The purpose of this rebate program is to encourage community conservation efforts and water-efficiency upgrades that are proven to save water while stretching our water resources during the current drought. How to Receive a Free Conservation Kit

1. Fill out the request form to receive your conservation kit. A copy of your request will be sent to your email for your records (check your spam folder). Conservation staff will review the information you provided. Please allow up to 3 business days for staff to verify the information in our system.
2. After your request has been reviewed and approved by staff, you will be emailed a unique voucher. This voucher is required to pick up your kit. Present the voucher on your mobile device or a printed copy at the Glendale Public Library branch you selected as your pickup location.
3. At the library, print and sign your name on the pickup sheet to confirm you received your kit.
4. Enjoy the energy and water savings. The City would like to thank you for continuing to conserve!

You must be a City of Glendale water customer to receive a Conservation Kit (while supplies last). Limit one kit per household. A valid service address and/or Glendale water account number must be provided.

Glendale is a member of the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association (AMWUA), which is comprised of nine Valley cities and towns. AMWUA has several water conservation and xeriscape booklets that are available free of charge through the member cities. In addition, the Glendale Water Conservation Office provides several additional informational brochures. These materials are provided to all homeowners who participate in the rebate programs or anyone that attends Glendale’s free landscape classes. They can be found in the display racks at the north entrance of the Glendale Main Library.

Glendale water customers can also request one copy of each booklet and brochure by mail. Complete an online form to request a free mailing packet.

How to Use the Water Savings Calculator(XLSX, 49KB)

1. Go to the “Take a Quick Survey” tab. Enter information about how you use water at home in the yellow boxes.
2. Have your Glendale water bill handy and click the “Enter Your Water Use” tab. In the yellow boxes, enter your water use for each month. For example, your bill might read 11 kgal for March. You would type 11 into the field for March. This means that you used 11,000 gallons of water.
3. Click the “Recommendations” tab to see a breakdown of how many gallons of water you can save indoors and outdoors. Click the green buttons to learn about programs and resources.

Become a Glendale Water Services Department - Conservation and Sustainable Living Division volunteer and spend time outdoors at the award-winning Glendale Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. Garden workdays occur in the fall and spring, and must be scheduled by appointment.

Assist the Conservation and Sustainable Living Division in the development, implementation, and evaluation of sustainability outreach programs, including water and energy conservation/efficiency and green-living. Obtain real-world experience working in local government and consider applying for a volunteer (un-paid) internship.
