Call Description

The City of Glendale Office of Arts and Culture is initiating a Valley-Wide Call to Artists to submit applications for a Veterans-Themed mural to be fabricated at Veteranos Park near Downtown Glendale.

On November 8th, 2025 Veteranos Park was officially dedicated as a location to honor the courage, service, and sacrifice of our nation’s Veterans. The event included the installation of three newly illuminated flagpoles, and serves as a location for Veterans, honored guests, and the Glendale community. The next phase of the City’s commitment to Veteranos park is a mural that will exist along the eastern and southern walls of the park.

Award:

  • Three (3), $1200 honorariums for three (3) finalists

  • One (1) not-to-exceed $30,000 award for design, project management, overhead, fabrication, transportation, installation, insurance, and any other costs associated with the project. (award is based on $31 per square foot)

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The City of Glendale’s Office of Arts & Culture will be hosting a new community arts event planned for Fall 2026 in Murphy Park, located in Historic Downtown Glendale. Glendale Arts is seeking qualifications from experienced teaching artists to facilitate interactive art stations as well as experienced artists or artist teams to design and facilitate a large-scale collaborative community artwork as part of the new community arts event.
