The city of Glendale experienced a summer of success as several new businesses that opened their doors this season are already seeing strong momentum and community support. From refreshing drinks to high-speed entertainment and stylish retail, this wave of success highlights Glendale’s growth as a premier destination for commerce, leisure, and lifestyle.

HTeaO, the Texas-based iced tea franchise, opened its first location in Arizona to eager Westgate crowds with its wide variety of fresh-brewed, drive-thru teas and customer-friendly atmosphere. Since its summer debut, the Glendale location has been buzzing with loyal customers looking for flavorful drinks during the hot months.

After celebrating its 150th grand opening in July with a huge turnout, giving away 430 free cups of tea and 827 half-priced gallons, HTeaO in Glendale has since become one of the top-ranked stores in the nation.

Guests can enjoy 20+ meticulously crafted flavors of sweetened and unsweetened freshly-brewed iced tea made with 100% natural ingredients using a proprietary water filtration system, plus BOGO happy hour every day from 2–4 p.m.

“We are beyond thankful for the incredible support received by the Glendale community,” says Owner, Justin “JT” Turner. “Our partners within the Westgate Entertainment District, the City of Glendale and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce have opened doors and opportunities that are unparalleled. We are excited to continue to partner up with various schools, community outreach programs and first responders to truly be one with the Glendale community.”

Meanwhile, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has taken the Valley by storm, becoming a major entertainment draw. Featuring high-speed electric karting, virtual reality experiences, arcade games, and upscale dining, Andretti's Glendale location is quickly becoming a go-to hotspot for families, tourists, and corporate events alike.

Since opening its Glendale location in late April, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has generated an impressive $6.2 million in total sales, exceeding its target by $200,000. The location ranks second only to the Orlando location, the company’s top-performing store during this time frame. Group sales have contributed significantly, totaling over $867,000. Walk-in revenue has also been strong, led by $2.2 million in track sales and $1.2 million from arcade games.

Additional revenue includes $525,000 from entertainment packages, $600,000 in food sales, and over $1.1 million in beverage sales. Key attractions like bowling, laser tag, and VR have brought in nearly $260,000. The Glendale location currently employs 200 hourly team members and has welcomed nearly 200,000 visitors since opening.

“Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is proud to bring a premier entertainment destination to the West Valley. Our state-of-the-art facility offers a wide range of experiences, from high-speed karting and cutting-edge arcade games to elevated dining and social spaces. We host an array of events, including corporate functions, private celebrations, and large-scale gatherings, providing the perfect setting for any occasion,” said Ryan Glaus, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, Glendale, General Manager.

Retail has also seen a boost with the arrival of Arizona’s first James Avery Artisan Jewelry, a brand known for its handcrafted designs and meaningful pieces. Located at Arrowhead Towne Center, the store is already exceeding foot traffic expectations, attracting both long-time fans of the brand and new customers alike.

While a cultural phenomenon in Texas, the brand has a strong national following thanks to its unique designs and deep ties to personal milestones and heirlooms. Widely regarded as one of the most iconic jewelry companies in the U.S., it was recently recognized as a 2025 US Best Managed Company.

“Opening dedicated James Avery stores in Arizona is an exciting milestone,” said Karina Dolgin, chief product and revenue officer. “We’re deepening that connection by bringing Arizona customers the full in-store experience James Avery is known for — personal service, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.”

“Glendale’s growth is evident with the many new business openings we’ve celebrated this summer and those still to come,” said Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers. “Our Economic Development team continues to address the needs of our community, ensuring residents and visitors alike benefit. I look forward to Glendale’s continued success.”

With strong openings, high community engagement, and continued growth on the horizon, Glendale’s summer of success sets the stage for an exciting future. Among the standout contributors was Porsche Arrowhead, which played a key role in a season marked by successful business launches. The dealership officially opened its doors on September 8, welcoming customers to its state-of-the-art facility. While now fully operational, Porsche Arrowhead will host its formal grand opening celebration later this fall.
