Dollar Tree, Inc., a leading operator of discount variety stores, has announced the acquisition of a 1.25 million square-foot industrial building in Glendale. This strategic purchase marks a major expansion of the company’s national supply chain footprint and supports its long-term growth and distribution capabilities in the western United States.
The newly acquired facility is part of a prominent industrial park in Glendale’s thriving logistics corridor. The industrial park spans 3.75 million square feet across four buildings located near Loop 303 and Glendale Avenue, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure and easy access to key transportation routes.
The Glendale facility is expected to serve as a major logistics hub for both Dollar Tree and Family Dollar operations, enhancing the company’s ability to streamline distribution and better serve stores throughout the western region.
“The growth we are experiencing along the Loop 303 corridor, or what we proudly call Glendale’s ‘New Frontier’, is a testament to our city’s bright future,” said Mayor Jerry P. Weiers. “National and multi-national companies continue to select Glendale for their distribution centers, and that doesn’t happen by accident. We are proud to see more businesses recognize the value of investing here.”
Dollar Tree has not yet announced the number of jobs the facility will create, but the company indicated that hiring and operational plans will be shared in the coming months. Local officials have welcomed the expansion as a boost to the region’s economic development and job creation.
