Glendale Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff has been appointed to serve on the National League of Cities (NLC) 2026 Large Cities Council and the Information Technology and Communications Committee. The one-year appointments allow her to develop policy and guide programs alongside elected officials from similar communities nationwide. These roles are in addition to her existing position on the NLC's Women in Municipal Government (WIMG) board.
“I am honored to serve on the Large Cities Council, as well as other NLC committees and constituency groups to represent Glendale in a meaningful way nationally,” Tolmachoff said. “These appointments provide a way to share ideas and successful strategies amongst elected officials nationwide to solve challenges and improve communities.”
“National League of Cities’ member councils design and create NLC’s policies that bring together innovative ideas and solutions to the biggest challenges facing local leaders across the country,” said National League of Cities President Kevin Kramer, Councilmember, Louisville, Kentucky. “I am thrilled to have Lauren Tolmachoff serve on NLC’s Large Cities Council this year as we work together to ensure our cities, towns and villages have the resources they need to create thriving communities.” Tolmachoff was first elected to the Glendale City Council in 2014. She serves as Glendale’s representative on the board of directors for Valley Metro RPTA, as well as the Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Works Committee for the League of Arizona Cities and Towns.
She has been a Realtor® since 2004 following a successful career in banking. She is an NAR Realtor® Champion, member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and a proud member and past president of the Glendale Rotary Club. Tolmachoff and her family have deep roots in Glendale. The first Tolmachoffs arrived in 1911 and helped Glendale grow into a thriving community. She is committed to moving Glendale forward by making fiscally responsible decisions and working to improve the lives of the residents and businesses that she serves.
