The Glendale Community Center is a small, vibrant neighborhood hub offering various free community programs. The center caters to all age groups, including youth, teens, adults, and seniors. Programs encompass educational, recreational, and fitness activities, aiming to enhance community engagement and well-being.

Youth Programs

GCC After School Program

August 2025-May 2026

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3 PM - 7 PM

Wednesday: 12:30 PM - 7 PM

 

The Glendale Community Center is thrilled to offer a Free, Drop-In afterschool recreation program for kindergarten through 8th grade youth for the 2024-2025 school year. This program will run from August 2025 through May 2026, Monday through Friday. Activities include daily scheduled events, crafts, homework assistance, sports, STEM activities, and more.

Landmark Elementary Bus Route #6 drops off directly at the center

Meals Provided daily by St. Mary’s Food Bank

 

Lego Club (Ages 7-12)

Mondays: 4:30 – 5:30 PM

Fall Session: August 11 – October 13
Lego Club encourages children to learn while having fun. It teaches creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills! There will be small group instruction by Staff. Builders will be grouped and build buddies as well as a unique building project using our Lego building kits. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.

Fun-Size Prehistoric Explorers

Fun-Size Fairy Tales

Saturday, November 8 

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Wishes will come true during this magical event for children who love princesses, princes and fairy tales. There will be imaginative play, themed photo setups, enchanting tales of princes and princesses, age-appropriate games, royal themed activities, crafts inspired by royalty and fairy tales. And of course, delicious snacks and treats.

Teen Programs

GCC Teens 
GCC Teens program is uniquely developed based on the needs and interests of the teens who come to the center. Recreational activities, guest speakers, and clubs are created to benefit the teens in the community and help them grow socially and academically, while also focusing on fun. GCC Teens Program is Monday-Friday 4:00 pm-8:00 pm, Saturdays 8:00 am-3:00 pm

Teen Pizza & Paint Nights: (Ages 12-17)
What could be more fun... and yummy? Our teen pizza and paint nights lets you unleash your artistic side with everything you need to create a masterpiece on canvas. Bing your friends; no skill required. Our recreation staff will guide you step by step.

G.O.L.D Program
The G.O.L.D. Program - Glendale's Onsite Leadership Program is about allowing young students ages 13 -15. Creating a work experience during our youth programs G.O.L.D. Members will learn and be supervised by quality leaders in the Recreation field while learning life/work skills, we will provide a fun, age-appropriate atmosphere in a variety of spaces within our facility. Adult & Senior Programs

Seniors in the City
Glendale Community Center has partnered with the YWCA! Seniors are invited to the community center Monday-Friday 8:00 am-1:00 pm for coffee, loteria, exercise, karaoke, guest speakers, and much more! Join us for lunch served at noon and appreciate good conversations, activities, and events!

Sizzling Seniors BBQ
A fun filled morning of good food and great company! Enjoy delicious hot dogs fresh off the grill while mingling with friends and neighbors in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Test your skills with yard games like cornhole, connect 4 and giant Jenga or simply relax and soak up the community spirit. This event is a wonderful way to celebrate our seniors, connect with others and learn more about our programs.

Marvel Saturdays

Marvel enthusiasts of all ages are welcome back to the Glendale Community Center for Marvel Movie Saturdays at 10 am! We will pick up where we left off in the chronological timeline, starting with Doctor Strange on August 16th, 2025. Join us again for new snacks and more superhero themed activities. With Marvel Movie Saturdays at GCC we create a fun, engaging, and interactive experience for any and all Marvel fans, allowing them to bond over their shared love of superheroes. Whether you're a die-hard fan or new to the MCU, this free program offers something for everyone to enjoy!

Winter Wonderland
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Feel the magic of Christmas at the Winter Wonderland event at Glendale Community Center. Come enjoy, special crafts, treats, hot coco and a free picture with Santa. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.

O'Neil Recreation Center offers a variety of free community programs including Stay & Play hours for young families, Virtual Fitness classes, board & card games for adults/seniors, Afterschool and Teen programs, family weekend activities, and more! 

 

O’Neil Afterschool Program 
The O'Neil Recreation Center offers a free, accredited drop-in Afterschool Program for youth ages 6-14 (grades 1-8) that provides supervised recreational activities, crafts, games, sports, clubs, homework help, and special events. This is a non-licensed program. We work in partnership with the Glendale Elementary School District and follow their school release schedule. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday program hours are 3:15pm until 6:00pm. On Wednesdays, we will be open from 12:15pm until 6:00pm.

O'Neil Teen Program (15-17) 
MON – FRI 6:00pm-7:45pm  

The O'Neil Recreation Center offers a free, drop-in program for teens ages 15-17 that provides a safe, supervised space to hang out and also participate in recreational activities, workshops, and special events. This is a non-licensed program. 

  

G.O.L.D. Volunteer Program 
For teens ages 15-17, we offer the G.O.L.D. Program and the opportunity to provide hands-on work experience in a youth recreation facility. Volunteers receive work force training and develop skills such as professionalism, how to interview, and ways to become successful in their careers.

Stay & Play (Ages 2-5 w/ adult) 
MON – SAT 8am-2pm (Wednesdays 8am-12pm) 

We welcome young families to use our facility as a safe and enjoyable space for children to play. We provide toddler-friendly toys, crafts, and activities. Adult supervision is required. 

 

Movin’ & Groovin’ Dance Fitness (18+) 
MON – FRI 8:30am-9:30am 
Get on your feet and exercise to the beat in our virtually led fitness sessions for all skill levels.

Sip & Social is an adult social program that has a rotating schedule of diverse activities. This program is for the community, and we are always taking suggestions for new social ideas. Free access to our coffee bar is included with your registration of the program.

Welcome to Rose Lane Community Center!
We proudly offer a variety of programs for individuals of all ages, from toddlers to adults. Our mission is to provide a fun, free, and safe environment where community members can learn, grow, and connect.

In addition to our regular programming, we also host exciting monthly events designed to bring our community together. Join us for fun and engaging gatherings such as Boys Night, Girls Night, Coffee & Treats, Mommy and Me, Casino Night, and much more. There’s always something new and exciting happening at Rose Lane!

Teen Program

Rose Lane Community Center will be offering a free, drop-in teen program for youth ages 15–17. This is a prevention program that provides a safe, supervised space for recreation and learning during the early evening hours. The Teen Drop-In Center includes leisure activities, academic enrichment, cultural arts, and technology.

  • Program Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Meals: Daily meals will be provided by St. Mary’s Food Bank for all participants and any other youth in the community.
