Jail Information

The Glendale City Jail holds individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting their Initial Appearance for misdemeanor charges.  In some cases, individuals may be eligible for release prior to seeing a judge if their charge has a preset bond established by the court.

The jail is operated by the Glendale Police Department.  Individuals in custody are treated in accordance with applicable standards and are permitted to make unlimited collect telephone calls to notify others of their circumstances or arrange for bond.

If you believe someone has been arrested by the Glendale Police Department and are unsure of their location, you may contact the City Jail at (623)930-3020 to determine whether the individual is in custody.  The jail is located at 6835 N. 57th Drive and is available 24 hours a day to provide information regarding detainees.

The jail does not provide on-site visitation and does not accept money or personal property for individuals in custody.  If a detainee is unable to post bond following Initial Appearance, they may be transferred to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office 4th Avenue Jail in Phoenix.  They will remain there until their next court appearance in Glendale or until bond is posted, whichever occurs first.
