Employee Spotlight

We’re excited to spotlight Abdul Muhammad, our newest Code Compliance Administrator! Abdul began his career with the City of Glendale in 2016 as a grid inspector, where he led the pilot pre-notification program, helping shape the proactive approach our division uses today.

He was later promoted to Senior Inspector, playing an important role in the implementation and testing of our new Clarity software while continuing to expand his knowledge of Code Compliance. Abdul is committed to professional growth, having participated in the City’s Mentoring Program, Citywide Focus Group, and Glendale University Program, and earning his Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and completing Supervisor’s Academy.

Abdul holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and was recognized last year with a Success Factor Award for Continuous Learning and Development. His background also includes experience in Adult Probation and case management with the Department of Corrections.
