60.721 Non Discrimination Policy

  1. The Glendale Police Department Victim Assistance Unit will provide equal services without regard to race, religion, color, gender, national origin, citizenship, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, parental status, disability, membership in any labor organization, or political affiliation.

  2. Reports of discrimination can be filed with the Glendale Police Department; Professional Standards Unit 6835 North 57th Drive Glendale, AZ 85301; (623) 930-3056 or by visiting the website at www.glendaleaz.com.

  3. Complaints can also be filed with an appropriate investigative entity including:

  4. In accordance with Title II, of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the City of Glendale has designated an ADA Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the efforts of the City of Glendale to comply with Title II. Review this information and/or file a complaint.

  5. It is declared to be the policy for the citizens of Glendale, Arizona, to be free from discrimination in public accommodations, employment, and housing, and contrary to public policy and unlawful to discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, veteran's status, marital status, or familial status in places of public accommodation, employment, and housing; and contrary to the policy of the City and unlawful for vendors and contractors doing business with the City to discriminate, as set forth in this Chapter.     If an individual wishes to file a complaint outside of the City of Glendale, compliants can be filed with any of the appropriate investigative entities listed above (Section C).

  6. Any employee or potential employee, who believes that they have been discriminated against at work because of your race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin (40 or older), disability or genetic information, can file a Charge of Discrimination with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
