Commercial Programs

Glendale Water Efficiency Partner Program

The Glendale Water Efficiency Partner (GWEP) program promotes efficient water use and helps commercial customers identify simple ways to save water and money.

How does the program work? The free program is available to Glendale businesses, non-profit organizations, homeowner associations (HOAs), multifamily properties, and schools. The program has indoor and outdoor components that can be used separately or together.

Interested in improving your outdoor water efficiency? Commercial customers that complete a free water efficiency assessment performed by city staff may be eligible to receive incentives for upgrading their irrigation system with innovative landscape irrigation technology.

Become a GWEP partner by requesting a free water efficiency assessment today! Check out the video and information below to learn more.

The West Valley Water Association hosted a webinar focused on addressing challenges related to large-landscape and common area landscape management.

This resource can be shared with board members, property managers, and interested homeowners.

Indoor Water Assessment

Receive a free indoor water assessment, where City staff will look at your historical water usage and create an inventory of your water-using appliances, devices, and fixtures upon request. We’ll help you identify cost-effective ways to save water and money. Participants receive a confidential water efficiency report after completing an assessment.

Landscape Water Budget

Landscaping is often a large expense. It can be a challenge to maintain an attractive landscape that adds value to your community while keeping costs within budget. Glendale Water Conservation staff can help you manage your landscape costs. Receive a free landscape consultation and customized landscape water budget that provides monthly watering targets based on landscape type and size. The landscape water budget is a free service provided to Glendale businesses, non-profit organizations, HOAs, multi-housing units, and schools.

Here is an example of a landscape water budget (see following image).

Actual use to budgeted use comparison without overseeding

This landscape water budget shows deficit or underwatering in the winter, and then overwatering in the summer and fall. The recommended target for good water management is to be within +/- 20% of the budgeted water needs. A landscape’s annual water usage should resemble a natural bell-shaped curve. This is based upon plants’ watering needs and managing those needs throughout the year.

Non-Residential Rebates

Receive a rebate for converting unwanted grass to an Arizona-friendly landscape, for upgrading toilets to WaterSense high-efficiency toilets, or installing water-efficient irrigation or cooling tower technology. Learn more about these rebates.
