Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

The CDBG program provides funding to support community development projects that enhance the quality of life for low- and moderate-income residents. These funds may be used for a variety of activities, including:

  • Public facility improvements (e.g., parks, sidewalks)

  • Economic development initiatives

  • Public services supporting community needs

Who can apply?

Eligible applicants may include nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and other entities dedicated to serving low-income or homeless populations. All activities must align with federal regulations and local priorities.

How to Apply

Our grant application process ensures fair and transparent funding distribution. Applications typically open during the early to late fall and are reviewed based on community impact, eligibility, and compliance with program guidelines.

During the grant application cycle, the City will offer a series of set office hours to assist applicants with any questions they may have regarding the CDBG grant application process.

Applicant Requirements

To be considered for funding, agencies/projects must meet the following qualifications, including but not limited to:

  • Be a 501(C)(3) or government agency

  • Be able to provide an audited financial statement

  • Have an active registration with Sam.gov

  • Attend the grant orientation (for first-time applicants or organizations new to CDBG funds)
