Rock with Glendale, Neighborhood Beautification Project

Community Engagement is currently recruiting volunteers to help with a neighborhood beautification project. Volunteer tasks may include painting of address numbers on curbs, moving rock into bare yards, weeding and general landscaping. The project will be located within the 85301 zip code. The exact location of the project is to be determined. Please wear clothing that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and a hat. To register to volunteer, please complete the form.

Dementia Friendly Glendale Awareness Day

For the 4th Annual Dementia Friendly Glendale Awareness Day, we are seeking volunteers to assist with set up/clean up, carnival game attendants, registration assistance, and general event assistance. Granada Estates Halloween Event

We are seeking volunteers to help with providing a safe Halloween event for the Granada Estates community. This event will be sponsored by the Granada Estates Coalition. Volunteers are needed for setup (4-5:30pm), activity during the event (5:00-7:30pm), and tear down (7:30-8:30pm). To register to volunteer, please complete the form. 

Sahuaro Ranch Rose Garden Fall Cleanup

The Rose Society of Glendale will be hosting a fall rose garden clean-up at Sahuaro Ranch Park Rose Garden. We will be starting at 8am on both Saturday, November 1st and Sunday, November 2nd. You can register for one or both days. Volunteer tasks include deadheading, spreading mulch and other garden tasks. Pruners. gloves and other tools needed, as well as water, will be provided. Please wear closed toe shoes, clothes that can get dirty and a hat. Register directly with the Rose Society of Glendale at rosediva1971@gmail.com.

Glendale Elementary School District Food Distributions

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Tuesdays (8am-10:30am), Wednesdays (7am-9am)

Every month, Glendale Elementary School District holds food distributions where they hand out 350+ food boxes to the community. The need for food boxes has increased steadily along with the need for volunteer support to get food to families effectively. There are two opportunities to help with each distribution; one day would be the packing of the food boxes and the following day would be handing the boxes out to the community. Below are the dates for the food distributions. 10-15 volunteers are needed for each volunteer opportunity. To register, please complete the Glendale Elementary School District Food Distribution Volunteer Form.
