Rock with Glendale, Neighborhood Beautification Project

The Community Volunteer Program is currently recruiting volunteers to help with a neighborhood beautification project aimed at reducing blight and assisting residents who are otherwise unable to move landscape rock into their front yards. Volunteer tasks may include painting of address numbers on curbs, raking rock into bare yards, weeding and general landscaping. Individual beautification projects will be spread out over a few blocks and volunteers may need transportation to go between projects. Please wear clothing that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and a hat. Please register here for the event.

12th Annual Glendale Family Resource Fair

Glendale Elementary School District Food Distributions

Tuesdays and Wednesdays
GESD System of Care, 7677 W. Bethany Home Rd
Tuesdays (8am-10:30am), Wednesdays (7am-9am)

Every month, Glendale Elementary School District holds food distributions where they hand out 350+ food boxes to the community. The need for food boxes has increased steadily along with the need for volunteer support to get food to families effectively. There are two opportunities to help with each distribution; one day would be the packing of the food boxes and the following day would be handing the boxes out to the community. Below are the dates for the food distributions. 10-15 volunteers are needed for each volunteer opportunity. To register, please complete the Glendale Elementary School District Food Distribution Volunteer Form.
